GMAC REAL ESTATE SIGNS 16 NEW FRANCHISE AGREEMENTS DURING FIRST QUARTER

New Franchises - From California to Florida - Will Offer Premier Service Program, the Industry's Most Comprehensive Customer Service Program, to Their Clients

Oak Brook, Ill., May 16, 2006 - GMAC Real Estate, one of North America's leading real estate companies, announced today that it has signed franchise agreements with 16 real estate brokerage companies during the first quarter of this year.

The 16 new agreements represent a variety of medium-to-large-sized markets in 11 states, including: Orange County, Calif., Denver, Colo., Portland, Ore., Naples, Fla., and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., to name a few.

• DeRolfe and Associates, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
• Patricia Gray, Macclenny, Fla.
• Martinelli, Coral Springs, Fla.

Barnett said the company will continue to increase its number of offices by adding new franchises domestically, as well as globally. Last month, the company announced that it had signed an agreement with GMAC Imobiliária Portugal, GMAC Real Estate's first European franchise. The new firm will also offer the GMAC Real Estate's unique Premier Service program and comprehensive Home Services business strategy to home buyers and sellers in Lisbon and surrounding Portuguese markets.

Premier Service is considered the most comprehensive and powerful customer-service program in the real estate industry. Through the program, GMAC Real Estate is the only real estate company whose sales associates put in writing, up front, the services they will perform and then ask their customers to honestly rate their performance after each transaction through a survey conducted and tabulated by an independent, third party.
